I offer wellness and mindfulness coaching packages to support and guide educators, counselors and school leaders on mindfulness, wellness and self-care practices that nourish and sustain your personal and professional, especially your work with students. I’ll coach and support you to learn and establish your own personalized mindfulness, self-care, and wellness practices and routines that can help you live more open-hearted in your personal and professional life.


Whether you're new to mindfulness, meditation and wellness practices, been practicing for a while, or are having challenges with sustaining your wellness and mindfulness practices at this particular point in your life I can provide the personalized support you need to develop and  deepen your wellness and mindfulness practices. 


In these sessions we’ll develop a wellness and mindfulness goal and plan for you. Throughout our sessions together we’ll discuss your practices, make any changes in the goal and plan to better fit your needs, and continue to guide you in your wellness journey.    

There are two coaching packages you can choose from. 

  • Option 1: This package includes four weekly or biweekly, 1 hour coaching sessions. Each session will include a check-in conversation, a guided meditation, in-depth discussion about your experience, concerns, and challenges, and practice(s) for you to work with throughout the week to support your wellness, self-care, and mindfulness. 


  • Option 2: This package includes eight weekly or biweekly, 1 hour coaching sessions. Each session will include a check-in conversation, a guided meditation, in-depth discussion about your experience, concerns, and challenges, and practice(s) for you to work with throughout the week to support your wellness, self-care, and mindfulness.


Note: Coaching does utilize some of the same tools as therapy, however it is NOT therapy nor should it be used as a replacement for such.

Hi, I’m Dr. Paula Cristina Azevedo!


I’m an experienced teacher educator, mentor, certified mindfulness teacher and yoga instructor. I was a high school history teacher and currently teach pre-service teachers at George Mason University. I believe that working with children and teens should bring joy, curiosity, and passion for both the adult and child. Sadly, this is not always the case due to many external and internal pressures and stresses that impede our work of supporting, teaching and raising children. That’s why I created The Meditating Teacher where I support parents, educators, counselors, and school leaders interested in incorporating mindfulness into their teaching and/or parenting practices. However, mindfulness isn’t a set of strategies or tricks that can be imposed on young people. I believe that mindfulness starts with you.

How is your wellness and mindfulness practice? What’s going on in your life that you think I should be aware of?

Meditation

Brief grounding meditation or breathing exercise that is intended to set an intention and focus our session together.

Questions

This is a time for you to ask questions about your wellness practice or about something in your life or work that you’re working to be more mindful of.

Coaching

You’ll learn and deepen wellness techniques that meet your needs and the demands of your life.

Practice

Based on our conversations and your wellness goal I’ll guide you through a wellness practice.

Reflection

After the meditation I’ll guide you through a reflection about the guided practice.

Next Steps

Together we’ll develop a plan that can guide you through your practice and help you integrate the information from the session.

How do I purchase a Wellness & Mindfulness Coaching package?

I'm so excited that you're ready to book coaching sessions with me. But first, fill out the intake form above telling me what you'd hope to get out of your coaching sessions. After submitting the form you'll be able to schedule your free introductory session with me.

This introductory coaching session will last about 20 minutes and gives us an opportunity to learn more about each other, you'll learn more about my coaching style, and then we'll decide if I'm the best coach for your needs.

If you decide to purchase coaching sessions I'll accept you as a client and you'll receive an email about next steps on purchasing and scheduling your coaching sessions.
